Since this is the Virgo era, I ll initiate you to this topic which relates to female health:
Perimenopausal and menopausal years. Please be aware, that there s a dramatic rise of mental health illness in those years. I m positioning myself against directly treatment of mental imbalances which is a common practice and suggest, dealing with the body in a different way.
Perimenopause and menopause are the years of massive hormonal change in the female body and this must be the focus of healing.
Estrogen decline specifically affects massively brain function and the neurotransmitters relating to mental health. Mental health becomes hence one of the symptoms of peri menopause and menopause, and should be approached holistically.
Advise: find a gynecologist who is well informed about peri menopause and menopause and ask questions. As I found out years ago, few Gynecologists are well informed.
The gynecologist needs to explain to you exactly what s happening to you, suggest different approaches that may serve you well.
You are not sick or mentally ill. You re undergoing a very hard for the body transition.
You need to exercise, change your diet, contact with a Psychologist for support,(preferably someone who is informed about the impact of these years on a woman) and make it smoother for yourself.
Support is of crucial importance.
Please also know that symptoms are different from woman to woman and that most of them are under diagnosed.
P.S it s important that your partner is also informed and stays in tune with you. Relationships undergo massive changes that lead to stronger bond and intimacy if the transition is made successful.
